The Swedish tech-driven logistics company Instabox continues its rapid growth in Norway. After a framework agreement was signed with Coop, the number of smart, automated parcel lockers will increase heavily over the next coming months.
– This is truly an important step in our further expansion into the Norwegian market. Through this partnership, more Norwegians will have access to the future of shipping, says David Lundqvist, Chief Commercial Officer at Instabox.
Coop is the second largest grocery store chain in Norway, with almost 1300 stores nationwide. After a pilot project where six Instabox smart automated parcel lockers were placed in Coop grocery stores, the number of lockers will now grow with rapid speed.
– We are constantly looking at ways to increase our services to our customers and co-owners, where I think Instabox will be a great addition. We’ve concluded a successful pilot project, and we have noticed what a success Instabox has been. We are happy to offer Instabox soon to even more of our customers and co-owners, says Thomas Stemland, project director at Coop Norway.
Instabox delivers parcels from some of Norway's most popular e-commerce merchants like Boozt, Lyko, and the Varner group, and more merchants are continuously joining. The Coop agreement marks the start of a massive rollout of smart automated parcel lockers in Norway, with up to 12 new lockers being installed every week.
– Shipping with Instabox is fast, flexible, and environmentally sustainable. We offer something new to the market, and Coop is a perfect partner to further expand our business with. Our ambition is to always have our lockers at locations that have a natural place in people's everyday life, says David Lundqvist.
