This week, Instabox will place around 20 parcel lockers in the region of Bergen. The expansion allows Bergen residents to receive their e-commerce parcels in a flexible, fast and fossil-free way when shopping from online stores that Instabox collaborates with.
In January, Instabox acquired the Norwegian home delivery company Porterbuddy. Since the two companies became one, Porterbuddy has sorted all Instabox parcels in its existing terminals, this will also be the case in Bergen. All vehicles that deliver Instabox packages from the terminal in Bergen are fueled with the fossil-free alternative HVO100, which leaves a minimal environmental footprint.
"To provide as many Norwegians as possible with access to fast, sustainable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly delivery is what we strive for every day. It is a milestone for us that we are able to offer residents of Bergen a practical way to pick up the parcels they have ordered online, in addition to our existing home delivery service," says Marte Knutsen, Country Manager in Instabox Norway.

This is how Instabox works:
Customers choose Instabox's fossil-free shipping option in the checkout at the online store.

The customer can easily extend the storage time of the package or switch from one locker to another through Instabox's tracking link. In addition, anyone in the family can pick up the parcel without any hassle, since all you need is a pin code.
